Prayer of Adoration  09/09/2011 10:15 am
Have you paid attention to the names of God in the bible? It's like a roadmap of learning miniature portraits and promises to reveal God's true character, attributes, and nature. Names in the bible identified oneself and stood for something specific, this is especially true of God. The multitude of names defines who He is.

As one becomes conscious of God's revealed self, you will begin experiencing him in a more personal way. By developing a more meaningful relationship, you will grow stronger and deeper in Him. Through the prayer of adoration, you will create an environment that welcomes God's presence and power which releases experiences of joy, admiration, and contentment in your life.

O Come let us Adore Him! O Come let us Love on Him! O Come let us Spend time in His Presence!

Did you know when you pray it sets the tone for your entire day? Nevertheless, the prayer of adoration sets-up the formation of how one begins his prayer. Adoration focuses on the character of the "WHO" God is. When I THINK! of Him, my heart recognizes and becomes responsive and captivated by His many names.

When we pray the prayer of adoration it's like tasting God.....Oh taste and see that the Lord is good! When we adore God, it activates a sweet fragrance that lingers in His nostrils which commands His presence where ever we are.

So, I welcome you to adore, impel, and provoke His presence by mentioning the multitude of His many names.

Let this day be the day you start to intimately love on God, not asking for anything just adoring Him. I promise you He will shift the very course of your day and you will be happier, more pleasant, more content, more loving and you will refuse to let anyone mess-up your day. Why? Because you have been in the presence of the One you love.

Now let's focus on the "WHO" God is, feel His love permeate the very atmosphere you occupy when you say His name! This is the Prayer of Adoration.
Copy the list below for your daily devotion!

We invite you to comment on blog at end of list of names.

GIFTED TO SERVE  08/13/2011 05:43 pm
There were three men given coins to multiply, one he gave five talents, so he went and traded them and made another five talents. Likewise, another had received two and he gained two more also and because of their obedience the lord told them both; well done, thy good and faithful servants; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many. Enter into the joy of your lord.
But the third guy went and dug a hole in the ground, and hid his lord's money,  and said I was afraid,(doesn't that sound like some of us?) but his lord answered and said to him, You wicked and lazy servant, I will take your talent and give it to the one that profited most. "The Parable of the Talents", Matthew 25:16-30 (paraphrased)
People of God you do not have time to hide and take lightly what God has given you, He has a purpose, a reason and a plan for your lives. In the 30th verse, God called this guy that had one talent unprofitable, unproductive, just out right LAZY AND FEARFUL. He had only one talent to multiply and he chose not to. The bible says; "If we are faithful over a few things, He will make us ruler over many".
This guy was lazy and fearful of producing, he held on to what his master had given him. Because of our fear, we take and hide our talents/gifts from others. FEAR will hold you captive and keep you from proceeding or moving forward; God has not given you the spirit of fear. Too often, we put our attention on what others are saying about us and what others have conceived about us, "WHO CARES!” God intends for you to use your gift - use it, and watch Him multiply it. You must learn to use your gift without fear, hesitation and without confusion. The more you use your gift the more God will increase your ability.
Another thing, stop comparing your talent/gifts to others, they have to put their pants on and walk up steps just like you. Listen people, God will give you strength to stand; He wants to promote you, because He is the Master Promoter. No one starts at the top. NO ONE!!! The bumps, bruises, and scars are the learning process that brings us to maturity.
I cannot stress to you the urgency of using your gift/talents that God has given you. Don't let God take it away and do a hand-off to someone else.
I pray that all God's people prosper in their ministries and go forth with purpose and passion. We love God's people and God has blessed us to be a blessing; that why our company has invested thousands of dollars to provide an avenue to help you promote your gift/talent along with the Master Promoter.  This is a FREE service and it does not cost you anything, WHY? Because we want to see you, successfully doing what God has called you to do.
8 Reasons Why We Invested Thousands on Your Behalf
1. To help you promote your gift/talent, business or church.
2. To help exchange information and build meaningful contacts.
3. To help showcases your ministry to others through networking.
4. To always, advertise our website for you locally, nationally, and internationally.
5. To build small evangelistic team made up of people in our community to spread God's word across America.
6. To help you release your purpose and passion in life
7. To create career opportunities inside of U R God's Gift Corporation.
8. To help you glorify our Father and bring him pleasure on earth.
It takes only 5 minutes to register and create a profile. We can't wait to work with the many churches, event planners and other ministries to get the word out about you.
So, in my conclusion, don't be the person who takes their gift/talent and hide it under a rock and you become unproductive. Use what The Master Promoter has given you and watch it multiply. God wants to say to you, well done, my good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things, enter into the joy of the lord.
This is my prayer for you. Always remember, U R God's Gift!

PRAY FOR OUR LEADERS  07/30/2011 09:37 pm
Attention All Prayer Warriors!

People of God, let’s pray for our nation and spiritual leaders, I believe the problems we face in our communities and our nation are not just political and cultural, they are spiritual in nature.

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.   For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." (Eph. 6:10-13).

Consequently, these problems ultimately require a spiritual solution administered by spiritual leadership, so we need to pray for our nation, and pastors everywhere who are called and walking in God’s whole council, for we are the salt and light of the world. We can make a positive difference in our communities, state, and our nation. I encourage all of us to pray, take a few minutes everyday out of your busy schedules and God will heal our land!

"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land".
2 Chronicles 7:14

Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you. Hold them in the highest regard in love because of their work.”  1 Thess. 5:12-13

Comments and prayer request are welcome

GOD BLESS AMERICA!

LOST IN THE CROWD  07/25/2011 05:11 pm
Did you know? Most people form an opinion about a church in the first 10 minutes and determine the friendliness in the last 5 minutes following the conclusion of the service.
Engaging people and creating relationships is very important, it makes people feel the church is friendly, approachable and they care. In most cases, people will return and join only if they have a personal connection with a few people at the church.
Joining a church can be overwhelming, but what’s more overwhelming is joining a large church where everyone is a stranger.  Trying to find your niche can be a bit startling….right. So, how do you find your niche in a new church?

New converts? Are they just the responsibility of the leaders in the church or the members too? I have discovered most leaders in the church are too busy, either with their jobs, family, or extracurricular activity. They have no real time for church stuff, “New CONVERTS”. So, whose responsibility is it? Guess what; all of ours!  Every born again believer in the church has a responsibility to every new convert in your ministry, why? Because they need to be nurtured, loved and handled with care by their new found family.

Imagine adopting a child, and the sibling in the home made the adopted child feel unwelcome because they had no interaction with her and everyone went about their daily routine, while the adopted child figured out how to fit in. How would you feel?

We all have the responsibility to make a new convert feel that he/she is a part of your church family.

(12)Ways to Keep New Converts!

Reachout: Always make new members feel like they are a part of your church, how do you do this? After the orientation, they need to have someone assigned to them personally.  New member always have questions and they are trying to find their way around in the ministry.  If they had a person or a few people assigned to them, they would feel more comfortable and get their questions answered.

New Members Picture Board: (picture board would display all new members for the 3 month) in a hall lobby or church directory. This will help those in the church identify with their new members, especially if you have a growing ministry.

New Members Name Tags: (If we can get our new member to where a name tag for three months declaring they are a new member) this would help the old member identify the new members.  We don’t want any new member to be looked over. You may want to have a desk where they can pick up their name tag whenever there is a service, this can also serve as a tracking device.

Letter of Welcome: (This letter will welcome them and let them know we are concern about their soul and spiritual welfare, and there will be a lot of interaction from their new church family.) this can be done many ways, a mailed letter, email,  collaborative newsletter, an automated call or handed to them in person.

Section Leaders: (assign members to sections in the church and make sure that they are greeted with hugs and handshakes, with their name tags or the new members board in the lobby will make it a little easier to identify who they are.  All section leaders will have a team of people that will make sure their team engages in conversation after service.

Volunteering: (Get them involved in ministry right away), if a person sit around in your church and don’t connect with other ministries or individuals guess what? They will leave your church! Because they feel disconnected and no one cares.  If you are, a leader and you are not engaging with new members you are the wrong ministry.

Gift Assessment: (Some people have not a clue in what to be involved in) by taking a gift assessment test, we will know who to notify and where to place you in the ministry. They have ministry gift assessment test online.

Calling New Members: (new converts should receive a call from someone at least once a week, just to check on them and see if they have any needs and/or questions).  A team should be assign to this task and make your number available to them. Never let days and weeks go by without contacting them. If you cannot do it, someone is setting at home who can!

Invitations To Dinner: (Whatever happens to inviting a new member to dinner at least once a month for the first three months) this can be a homemade dinner or dinner out to a restaurant. This should not be done by one person, but a team of people.

Outside The Church Activities: (Someone should invite our new member to some function outside the church) movie, bowling, the mall and ECT. Engage them in your leisure time through activities outside the church. ENGAGE!

Meeting Their Needs: (We should not only look to meet the spiritual needs of a person but their natural needs) providing for some of their necessities.  Find out what’s going on and let them know you are concern about what happens to them naturally and meet that need. (Storehouse Ministry)We have members with an abundance of clothes, shoes, furniture, and maybe household necessities to help others. Man, when you are meeting the needs of the total man it will cause other to pour back into the ministry.

Providing Community Resources: (As a church we should know how to meet every need of a person in our church) connecting to all available organizations outside the ministry will provide an avenue to create available  resources outside your local church, if for some reason the church could not  meet the need.

We as a church must exhaust every avenue available to us to hold on to new members.  If we meet them were they are and their needs are meet, God will make sure that they sow back in the ministry and the church needs will be meet. If they leave and go elsewhere at least we know we have done everything, we could to hold on to them and to make them feel a part of the family. In your church, they will never be lost in the crowd.

One thing I notice about my pastor, he engages with everyone after service, no one is too big or too small, to engage with. He wants to let them know that he loves and appreciate them for being a part of his church family. Wouldn’t it be nice if all of his leaders would follow his lead and gathered around the altar to meet and greet others too?

Wow,…..you talk about changing the way we do church! Now that’s change.
